Wheeler Taft Abbett, Sr. Library (7800 N. Schisler Dr.) is turning 10 years old! To mark this special occasion, the Library is hosting a family-friendly day of fun on Saturday, June 9 from 11 am–4 pm.

The Wheeler Taft Abbett, Sr. Library opened on June 6, 2008 and has earned its reputation as a vibrant hub, attracting a wonderful community of retirees, hikers, bicyclists, and families of all ages. The 21,164 square foot location, which houses nearly 76,000 items in its collection, offers dozens of events every month. Customers can choose from a wide variety of programming, including Drop-in Job Help, multiple Storytimes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, and a great lineup of book clubs, workshops for teens, and much more!
More than 267,000 customers walk through the doors each year. In the past six years alone, Library programs for adults, children, and teens have drawn 57,000 enthusiastic attendees. Library Manager Cheryl McCurry says, “Our customers are constantly driving us to be the best we can be and we’re excited to celebrate this special occasion with them.”
