(Tucson, AZ) Exciting news! Martha Cooper Library will reopen on Tuesday, September 17 at 10 am.
The hours at this location will be:
- Tuesday 10 am to 7 pm
- Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm
- Thursday 10 am to 7 pm
- Friday and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm
This library will be closed on Sunday and Monday.
Just a quick refresh on all that's happened, and all that customers can look forward to:
- Expanded children's space with enclosed outdoor area
- Dedicated Storytime space in children's room
- Upgraded space for teens
- Programming area connected to outdoor, shaded meeting area
- Additional space for studying
- Doubled square footage from 6,012 to 13,554
In addition, this library now features a courtyard installation of "The Cooper's Crested Cooper," named for Martha Cooper, a cooper's hawk, and the 1 in 10,000 very special Crested Saguaro by local sculptor Jimmy Descant. Learn more about Jimmy's work on his website!
