Martha Cooper Library will reopen on Tuesday, September 17!

(Tucson, AZ) Exciting news! Martha Cooper Library will reopen on Tuesday, September 17 at 10 am.

The hours at this location will be:

  • Tuesday 10 am to 7 pm
  • Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm
  • Thursday 10 am to 7 pm
  • Friday and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm

This library will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

Just a quick refresh on all that's happened, and all that customers can look forward to:

  • Expanded children's space with enclosed outdoor area
  • Dedicated Storytime space in children's room
  • Upgraded space for teens
  • Programming area connected to outdoor, shaded meeting area
  • Additional space for studying
  • Doubled square footage from 6,012 to 13,554

In addition, this library now features a courtyard installation of "The Cooper's Crested Cooper," named for Martha Cooper, a cooper's hawk, and the 1 in 10,000 very special Crested Saguaro by local sculptor Jimmy Descant. Learn more about Jimmy's work on his website!
