The Friends of the Pima County Public Library, opens a new window is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1969. Its purposes is to raise money for special and innovative library programs, services, and equipment which are not included as part of the normal annual budget. This funding is raised through the sale of books, memberships, and grants.

In addition to hosting book sales at the Friends Book Barn, the Friends also sell books year round and through book carts (cash only) at various library locations.
