Depending on the intensity of summer rains, the Lyside Sulphur (Kricogonia lyside) butterflies may be seen fluttering about in the Tucson area. These butterflies are 1 ¼ to 2 inches in size. Their color can be a whitish or greenish with yellow. These butterflies do not appear with every monsoon.
