Universal Class Sunsetting: Try these instead!

We have an important update regarding one of our valued resources. Universal Class, which has been a cherished part of our digital offerings, will no longer be available to Pima County Public Library patrons beginning on July 25, 2024. This change comes from Universal Class leaving OverDrive, the platform that hosts this service for our library. We understand that this may be disappointing news for many of you who have enjoyed the diverse range of courses and the convenience of learning at your own pace through Universal Class.

However, we are excited to share that our commitment to providing exceptional lifelong learning opportunities remains as strong as ever. We have a wealth of alternative resources that we are confident you will find both engaging and enriching. Here are some options you can explore:

  • Udemy: With thousands of courses on a wide array of topics, Udemy offers something for everyone, whether you’re looking to develop professional skills, indulge in a new hobby, or simply expand your knowledge. (Note: You will need to be logged in to the Pima County Public Library website in order to access this resource)
  • Khan Academy: This acclaimed platform provides high-quality, free education for learners of all ages. From math and science to economics and humanities, Khan Academy’s interactive content and expert instruction make learning accessible and enjoyable.
  • Pronunciator: Perfect for language enthusiasts, Pronunciator offers comprehensive language learning programs for over 160 languages. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, Pronunciator’s user-friendly platform supports your language learning journey. (Note: New users will need their library card number to register)
  • LearningExpress Library: A highly valuable resource for students and professionals, LearningExpress Library offers a vast collection of test preparation materials, skill-building exercises, and career resources to help you succeed in your educational and professional endeavors. (Note: New users will need their library card number to register)
  • Niche Academy: This platform provides tutorials on how to use a variety of library resources, helping you make the most of the tools and services available through the library. From research databases to e-books and more, Niche Academy is your guide to navigating our digital offerings.

We understand that transitions can be challenging, and we are here to assist you in finding the best alternatives to meet your educational goals.
