Our Library community is paw-some!
When we asked for donations to help homeless animals at Pima Animal Care Center (PACC), you responded by literally stuffing the Library’s vans with nearly 1,600 pounds of pet supplies -- everything from canned food to crates, and from scratching posts, to cozy blankets that will warm our shelter friends on long winter nights.
Staff at PACC were delighted: “Today we received a special delivery from our friends at the @pimalibrary,” they tweeted. “A big thank you goes to everyone who contributed, and to the library for organizing this amazing donation drive.”
Our annual holiday drive ended on Dec 23, but you can keep the love going year-round by supporting PACC and other local animal rescue organizations that give homeless pets a second chance.
You might even consider fostering or adopting. Remember, the only thing better than reading a good book is reading it next to your forever friend!
A heartfelt thank you, from your friends at the Pima County Public Library.
