This March, Joel D Valdez Library will host an exhibit showcasing some of the most promising high school artists in Pima County.
Over one hundred art teachers from around the county were invited to participate by selecting artwork from up to five of their students for the exhibition.
The art will be on display at Joel D Valdez Main Library for the month of March, and will be judged by a jury of local artists and library staff. The winning school in each of six categories (Painting, Drawing, Mixed/Other Media, Special Recognition, Sculpture, Photography) will be awarded $50 of art supplies.
If you aren’t able to come view the artwork in person at the library, keep an eye out for our announcement with the link to the images in March. If you teach high school-aged youth and missed our invitation, please contact librarian Alisa Wenker at Alisa.Wenker@pima.gov
