Rainbow Reads: A Positively Queer Reading Circle is entering its third year! We’ve had a blast reading books together and sharing loads of books we’ve loved with each other every time we meet. In 2020, we’re doing something (slightly) different:
We’re moving!
Join us every third Sunday of the month from 1-3 at Woods Memorial Library, where we’ll have fun rainbow napkins and snacks ready for you to enjoy with our exciting book discussions. And since we’ll be in a library, any books we talk about might be available for you to check out if you’re so inclined. We’re grateful to Exo Roast Co. for their space and prickly pear iced tea for the past two years, but we thought it was a good time to bring our Sunday funday back inside the library.
I know. That’s all fun and great, you’re thinking, but what are we reading next year?
We're happy to announce the list for the 2020 Rainbow Reads Book Club, which will meet every other month on the even months (February, April, etc.):
Join PCPL's only LGBTQ-focused book club in 2020! In its third year, Rainbow Reads meets every month, sharing a round-robin of favorite recent LGBTQ+ reads during odd months, and talking about a single book in the even ones. We meet at Woods Memorial Library every third Sunday from 1-3pm. (Note: While this is a queer-themed book club, readers across the gender and sexuality spectrum are welcome to attend and engage in fun, respectful dialogue.)
There were so many amazing books to choose from, and we hope we’ll be able to talk about our longlist and others that cross our radar during our book chats in the odd months, where we’ll gather all the titles shared in our round robin discussion on a list for the website that you can refer to in perpetuity.
