If you're an ebook reader, you know that we can have long waiting lists on some titles. Returning early helps the line move along faster, and frees up a space for you to check out something new.
Returning early using OverDrive
If you're on a computer at pima.overdrive.com, you can return items from your bookshelf. Click the icon that looks like three book spines. Find the title you want to return and click Return below the book cover.
Returning early using Libby app
In the Libby app, and on libbyapp.com, the bookshelf icon looks like two books stacked on top of each other. Click it and you'll see your checked out items. Click Manage Loan next to the title you want to return. Then click Return Early.
If you find yourself returning early most of the time, you might want to choose a shorter check out period. In Overdrive, when you click Borrow, you'll see a drop down menu next to Borrow for. Choose 7, 14, or 21 days.
In Libby, when you click Borrow, you'll see Borrowing for 21 days. Click on 21 days, then you can choose either 7 or 14 days, or keep 21 days.
