A message from our Friends... of the Library, that is!
We all need a few great friends and this month the Friends of the Pima County Public Library celebrate our furry, feathered, and scaly friends! Whether you're a cat person, a dog person, or love all animals, the Friends have a book for you at their November Sale!
-
Community Sale - all are welcome!
Friday, November 8 - Monday, November 11
8 am to 2 pm daily
All sales are centrally located at 2230 N. Country Club Rd. at the SE corner of Grant and Country Club (map).
Check out the feature table this month for books that help you learn more about what your animal companions enjoy, and how to ensure their lives are happy and healthy. We also have animal adventure tails . . . ooops … tales, stories about growing up with animals, and nonfiction books on different breeds and types of pets.
Be sure to check out the children’s section for more great books about animals. Did you know that pets love to be read to? Our Library offers children the chance to Read to a Dog. Invite your child to join the fun and make a new furry friend. Remember, even the dogs and cats at home love to be read to! Snuggle up to your favorite friend and share a great book!
As always, adults can find thousands of books on virtually every subject as well as CDs, vinyl, movies, and audio books. Whether you like adventure, music, fiction, history, business or biographies, you will find it at the Friends Sale.
THANK YOU to all our customers and dedicated volunteers who make the book sales possible! Because of YOUR generosity, OUR library offers a wealth of programming, information and entertainment to Pima County. Last year we donated $275,000 to the Pima County Public Library and since 1999 we have donated over $3.6 MILLION! There is something for everyone at the Library – check it out!
