Sam Lena-South Tucson Library invites you to view an exhibit by local artist Megan H., on display until January 20, 2025.
Artist Statement:
Megan H. is an illustrator and children’s book author who works in traditional and digital mediums. You can most often find her illustrating a story with her trusty iPad and ProCreate. She draws inspiration from her experiences living abroad and from folk tales from around the world.The goal of her illustrations is to draw readers into the world of the book and create an emotional connection with the story. "The best feeling in the world," she says, "is to see a reader smile or to be brought to tears by your story."
Some of her illustration role models are Molly Idle, Benson Shum, Bob Shea, Christopher Denise, Robin James, and Steven Kellogg.
