Art Exhibit ~ Mark McMahon

Oro Valley Public Library invites you to view the work of local artist Mark McMahon. The exhibit will be on display until February 28, 2025.


Artist Statement:

“I have been blessed with a colorful and creative life. Author, entrepreneur, promoter, comedian, and oh yeah, even a dentist! My Hero’s Journey took me away from Tucson, ‘Driving To The End of the World,’ and back again. Through all my adventures, my truest companion has always been photography.”

Did a two and a half year solo-driving odyssey from Tucson all the way to the southern tip of South America and wrote a book about it. Strung a banner across the Grand Canyon for a Richard Branson entrepreneur publicity contest. Donated and delivered 5,000 Angel Baby dolls to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Created the SmileWorks Network to promote and popularize porcelain veneers. Competed in marathons and triathlons. Did stand-up comedy in front of an audience of 5,000 - in Spanish! Shared the stage with Robin Williams. Invented two different video production tools and auditioned for Shark Tank. Wrote and produced his own theatrical one-man show “You’re Alive Buddy Boy” a show with a standing ovation. A decade of COYOTE DENTAL helping people get affordable dental care in Mexico.
