Oro Valley Library invites you to an exhibit by local artist Malu Nicolette, on display until November 30, 2024.
Artist Statement:
I came to the US in 1994 and honed my glass art style surrounded by the inspiring sights and sounds of the Sonoran Desert.
My creative vision comes to life in the form of intricate and captivating fused glass works. My inspiration is the Arizona desert, but I blend colors and shapes from my Venezuelan and Italian roots, applying various techniques to create unique works. I use different techniques to do my work with the glass in different states. I employ a kiln with temperatures between 1325-1800 degrees Fahrenheit to produce the desired shapes, textures, and colors of my finished pieces.
My work is currently exhibited at the Chris Bubany Artists’ Gallery, Tucson, AZ; the Tubac Center of the Arts Gift Shop, Tubac, AZ; Art house center,Tucson, AZ.
