Joel D. Valdez Main Library invites you to an exhibit of artworks by Cross, Coronado & Wilson Middle School students. The exhibit will be displayed in the Main Library Children's Room until February 29, 2024.
The Peace Poster Contest is held annually, sponsored by local Lions Clubs, with a different theme related to peace. This year's theme is "Dare to Dream." Middle school students are encouraged to create artworks promoting peace throughout the world, without using words or numbers, because this is an international competition. If the pieces exhibited here win at the state level, they will go on to international consideration.
Local contest coordinator, Dawn, who has been doing this for 14 years, says "I believe in the fine arts and the role they play in making life more meaningful."
