Art Exhibit ~ 2nd Grade Artists from Borton Magnet Elementary

Eckstrom-Columbus Library invites you to an exhibit by 2nd grade artists from Borton Magnet Elementary on display until August 30, 2024.

The Vaquita art display is located in Eckstrom-Columbus Library's Children's section. The display was created by the 2023-24 Vaquita Room 2nd graders (Sebastian, Remy, Aiden, Reming, Macy, Metztli, Leo A. Lucius, Naomi, Rene, Leo J., Emery, Adiel, Jesus, Simone, Vicente, Khaleesi, and Alex) at Borton Magnet Elementary. Borton is a project-based Systems Thinking school.

The driving question of this project was - How can we educate the community about the Vaquita and the marine life in the Sonoran Desert?

If you would like to learn more about the Vaquita, please use the QR codes (located on the art display) to hear students sharing facts and read the informational book that the students wrote about the vaquita.
