Arizona Queer Archives’ Public History Mobile Exhibit

Joel D. Valdez Main Library invites you to view the Arizona Queer Archives' Public History Mobile Exhibit, on display until March 21, 2025.

The exhibit is a 5-panel traveling resource that offers visitors a look at local southern Arizona and Tucson histories, those that are a part of the Arizona Queer Archives, which is Arizona's first LGBTQ+ archives developed in 2008 with funding from the Alliance Fund and with collaborative support from Pan Left Productions. The AQA|PH Mobile Exhibit intends to share local histories and those history makers who have often been overlooked or erased in mainstream historic contexts. The exhibit invites folks to better understand themselves as historic actors in their own lives and urges us all to look at our own personal collections to see what tells our stories.
